This course is a general education course oriented to the whole undergraduate students in Sichuan University. The course aims to cultivate the students’active thinking and resolving ability through critical thinking training, so that the students can do better to make reasonable judgements and reasonable decisions based on the authenticity, reliability, background, evidence, and the quality of logical reasoning when facing numerous information. Promote the cultivation of innovative talents through the training of critical thinking. The content of the course mainly includes the concept of critical thinking, the cultivation and training for critical thinking ability, the relationship between cultivation of innovative talents and critical thinking。The coruse’s teaching method is a way to combination of lecture and practice in each class. In addition to lecture, through a variety of thinking training methods such as debate, discussion and examles analysis, quiz, Q&A and so on, the course can cultivate and enhance the students’ critical thinking and innovative thinking ability.
