This course mainly introduces the basic principles and application methods of cryptography. Aiming at the basic problems of information security, this course describes and analyzes the general methods and typical application technologies of cryptography in the realization of security attributes such as confidentiality, integrity, identifiability. The main contents of the course include the basic concepts of cryptography, classical cryptography, symmetric cryptography, asymmetric cryptography, hash function and message authentication, digital signature technology, key management technology, identity authentication technology and the fundamentals of sequence cryptography, typical cryptographic algorithms and application methods. The typical application of cryptography technology in digital communication security and network security is introduced with examples. This course requires students to master the basic concepts and theories of cryptography, to be familiar with and master the basic principles and application methods of typical cryptosystems and cryptographic protocols, and to cultivate students' ability of analyzing practical problems and comprehensive application of theoretical knowledge.
