报告题目：Towards End-to-End-Encrypted Online Collaboration

报告内容：Despite the pervasiveness of cloud platforms that facilitate outsourced storage and online collaborations such as Github, the basic requirement of end-to-end security is not yet available. As a consequence, we've witnessed many massive scales data breaches, or digital supply-chain attacks, frequently. This is in sharp contrast with communication, that there are long sequences of research and practical systems for secure messaging available. In this talk, I will overview the key challenges causing this mismatch, and our recent efforts of providing end-to-end security for cloud storage and Git services with rigorous guarantees, while preserving full compatibility with existing infrastructure, and incurring only minimal overhead.

报告人简介：Dr. Qiang Tang is currently an Associate Professor at The University of Sydney. Before joining USyd, he was an assistant professor at New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Director of JD-NJIT-ISCAS Joint Blockchain Lab. He was also a postdoc at Cornell. His research span broadly in cryptography and blockchain, and his work mostly appeared at flagship venues of security/crypto/distributed computing. He won a few prestigious awards including SOAR Prize, MIT TR 35 (Chinese); Google Faculty Award; Best/Distinguished Paper Awards of DSN25, ICDCS24, ASIACRYPT16; and Research awards from world leading blockchain foundations such as Ethereum, Stellar, Protocol Labs, and more. He was also PC chair of PKC24.
